Which KWP program is best for my church or community?

Consider the number and age of children you expect to participate, the frequency of
your mission activities, and your meeting location.  Please see chart of KWP
    programs.

Why is the KWP Foundation Program 12-weeks in the fall and 12-weeks in the
winter/spring?  And why is it important to be a sustained program instead of an
    occasional activity?

It is the goal of the KWP program that serving others in God's name becomes a
lifelong habit.  A sustained program offers kids an opportunity to be in service to
    others on a regular basis.

What is a typical time-frame for running the KWP Foundation Program?

The KWP Foundation Program is designed to meet weekly throughout the fall and
spring.  The 12-week fall program may run after the beginning of school until
Christmas.  The 12-week winter/spring program runs from January until spring
    break.

How does the  KWP Foundation Program work in subsequent years?

The KWP Foundation Program curriculum is the foundation of the KWP program.
Supplements are available to add variety to subsequent years.  Development of
    supplements is an on-going process.

How can I discover how the KWP Foundation program works?

KWP has A Taste of KWP: 3-week mini-program.  This mini-program is an
opportunity for your church or organization to try KWP.  Warning:  KWP creates
    great enthusiasm and eager volunteers!

Our church is small, will this program work?

Yes, it will work in a small church.  Consider combining age groups.  The KWP
program provides an excellent  opportunity to outreach to other children in your
    community.

Why do I need the Director's Guides?

The Director's Guides provide detailed instructions for implementing the overall
program.  This ensures that your KWP program will run smoothly.

Does it have to be a mid-week program?

KWP originally was designed to a mid-week program.  The organizations your
    children are serving and supporting are  more likely to be open at during the week;
however each church and community can adapt the program to fit their needs.

How much does it cost to run KWP?

KWP is a relatively inexpensive program to run.  Cost depends on the number of
children participating, whether you provide snacks or a meal, and type of
transportation used.   You may consider a registration fee to offset costs.  Also the
Director's Implementation Guides offers a detailed suggested donation list.

What are the best options for transportation?

KWP is based on the children actively participating in missions in their local
community.  Therefore, getting the children out into the community is vital.  There
are many options.  Some churches own a church bus or van.  Small churches may
use parent volunteers.  Large groups can use public transportation if available.
Other churches defer the off site weeks to the weekend to avoid traffic.
